The Pennsylvania black walnut, used to create these pieces, contains a beautiful dark brown center and a light cream subwood plus very prominent bark, altogether generating a wide range of artistic ideas.
Pieces from different species of wood: red cedar, manzanita
roots, teak, maple, mulberry, howthorne
These pieces were made from cherry burl.  The natural red color will deepen with age.  The cherry burl objects include many bark inclusions.
